We decided to celebrate my friend's birthday here today( October 31) .The brunch menu was limited. Four $20 entrees and you can add egg, potatoes, bacon, mixed fruit and sausage for $10 more or get it separate for $15.Mimosas carafes $25 no single classes. I got the fish, shrimp and grits. My friends got steak, potatoes, and eggs because they ran out of grits. Oh my GOD! It was soooo good. I usually add salt to grits. No seasoning needed. Everything was flavorful. Our waitress was amazing. You do need to make reservations. Fortunately, we arrived early and there was a table available. DJ was great. Played a lot of 90s music. I will definitely return next time I'm in Dallas. Great music, great atmosphere and delicious food.
This is a new exciting restaurant that not too many people know about. I stumbled upon it and I'm glad that I did. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, spacious and fun, with attentive and friendly staff-They were quick to acknowledge me and offer friendly conversation. In fact,I had the chance to speak to one of the owners. He was a very personable individual and offered good conversation while I waited for my food. I enjoyed the massive sized catfish (I ate every bit)and my old fashioned at the bar-Try the Basil Hayden whiskey and thank me later. I also ordered crab legs. I love crab meat, but have never eaten it served in an Alfredo sauce or seen it served pre-peeled, I found it odd. It was definitely not my favorite- but it was still good. Overall I would say this was a good experience and I look forward my next visit.
This restaurant seems to be newly opened but did not disappoint. It's in a great location in uptown so makes for a good stop before a night out. We started with the crab fingers and while we got the 1/2 pound portion it was more than enough for the 3 of us to share. For dinner i got the fried combo with the Cajun fries. And let me the tell you this was more than enough food. I substituted the oysters for more shrimp for no extra charge. They still seem to be ramping up as it was rather empty and they stop have a temporary sign out front. The service was good also so I will definitely be returning.
I was craving seafood so I figured a place called Crab House would fit the bill. When i arrived, I was surprised to find out it is a Viet Cajun seafood restaurant. I've never had this specialty before but i was excited to try it! Let me tell you, DO NOT miss out on the crawfish Julie. It was amazing!! Doesn't even need hot sauce but if you want, you can add it. We also ordered the sea salt mixed seafood plate on the suggestion of the server. I was surprised that it didn't have a sauce on it, but whatever batter is on the seafood was wonderful. So much flavor and not dry at all. The scallops were my favorite part so next time I will try a scallop dish. They have beer, wine, and fun mixed drinks. If you like old fashions, I recommend trying it here. They have a tiny smoker that they use to infuse flavor. Or ask them to make you something with the peanut butter whiskey. Come here. Thank me later ;-)
A group of ladies and myself went here for a bday brunch. The owner had 2 sections already set up for us prior to arriving. So when we got there, we were able to just sit down without a wait. They took really good care of us. It was about 15 of us. The drinks and food was taken care of in a fashionable order. There was a little wait for food, but was understandable for the number of people. They had a DJ, who was doing a great job with the music selection. The food was delicious. I even went back home and tried to recreate the dish I had lol. The rum punch drinks were also good.
